Når jeg ser på ørkenen, ser jeg havet (When I look at the desert, I see the sea)
Sabsay Gallery, Copenhagen, Denmark
2020

Looming sand masses, shimmering oceans of colour and a landscape without variations! There is wind and there is light or darkness! There is nothing to focus at, there is nothing at all in this landscape! Nothing and the body…! Nothing to hold thoughts! No time! Only the sun’s wandering across the sky, the shadows, the rotation of the firmament! Life is reduced to sleeping, eating, breathing, walking! Desire and matter! Faced with the desert one experiences loneliness…! Faced with the sea one experiences chaos…! Man was a bridge between chaos and loneliness! Between biology and technology! A time accelerator! The Gulf War was the last industrial war and the first information war! The war of speed! The order of speed has occurred! We fall forward… We can no longer prevent the fall….! The world surrounding us is about to disappear!
